Anotace
Green clusters A socially mixed, neighbourly living together in a sustainable district close to nature - that is the aim of this urban design. The project is a response to the current change of the nowadays housing structures and shows possibilities of community without neglecting privacy. It is based on the idea of living in harmony with nature and draws attention to an ecologically sustainable way of living. On the outskirts of Pilsen, the "Nová Valcha" development area is currently under construction. Green Clusters marks the final completion of the new area and clearly sets itself apart from the typical suburban settlement structure. There are no typical single-family houses, which are not sustainable as a form of settlement . The project gets the residents to move closer together, which at the same time generates more free spaces for everyone. Nine Green Clusters and one community building merge together as one district, the middle of which forms a spacious natural park through which the residential courtyards can be reached on foot. In each cluster, three different apartment types come together: the two-floor family house with a private garden, small apartments for two to four residents and so-called satellite apartments, which are a cross between a shared flat and a small apartment: each resident has his own room with bathroom and kitchenette. Additionally common areas, a spacious kitchen and a wide living area complement the private areas. Each cluster creates a courtyard that forms a semi-public, protected place for the residents or opens up to nature. The area in the courtyard is designed as an open, changeable green area and can be used and changed by the community. The apartments are accessed via outside staircases and galleries from the courtyard, so that there are encounters between neighbors. The visible own front door and the own veranda enable identification with the own apartment from the outside. At the centre is the building for the community. There is a greenhouse and a shop where the regionally produced food is sold, as well as a small café and rooms for short-term rent for the community. Next to this building there is also a shared garden where you can rent a bed and grow your own vegetables. Further design aspects are the open grass and water areas that function as evaporation zones and the architecturally integrated installation of solar panels. There is an "energy cube" on each Green Cluster, whose west, east and south facades are equipped with solar panels and generate green energy for the whole cluster. The cubes form a visual contrast and give the area a visual rhythm as a recurring element.
