We’ll wrap up the academic year with an exhibition of studio work and the Bohuslav Fuchs Award. Come to FINALS!
From June 2 to 5, 2026, a series of events will take place at the Faculty of Architecture, Brno University of Technology, located at Poříčí 5, to mark the end of this academic year. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The first event to kick off the series is the FINALS! festival (June 2–3) — a two-day final presentation of studio projects. Visitors will be able to view an exhibition of models, visualizations, and technical drawings, and watch as architecture students present and defend their projects.
This year’s studios address issues that resonate far beyond the academic sphere: from the design of a new residential neighborhood on the site of the former Kohn brickworks in Štýřice, through the development of villages in the border region of Podyjí, to the transformation of the center of Loštice, a town famous for the production of "Olomoucké tvarůžky". One of the studios combined design with the possibility of implementation: students designed a refreshment stand on the grounds of Uherčice Castle.
Immediately following FINALS! will be the Bohuslav Fuchs Award (June 4–5) — a student competition held twice a year by an independent jury composed of renowned figures from the architectural scene and related fields who are not affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture at Brno University of Technology, as well as students who won this award last semester.
The entire week will culminate on
Friday, June 5, with the ceremonial closing of the academic year. Whether
you’re interested in architecture, studying it, or simply want to come see what
the students have been working on this semester—we’d love to welcome you all!
