The new interior of the Veronica Foundation charity shop

The Matter Matters project is a pilot studio of the Faculty of Architecture, BUT, implemented in the form of design&build, which focuses on exploring the potential of recycled materials in architecture through experimental and artistic practice.

The students of the Faculty of Architecture, BUT went through the entire process from material research to the realization of the interior of the Veronica Foundation charity shop on Pekařská Street in Brno. The studio took place in several phases - from testing physical prototypes from recycled building materials, through mapping local producers, re-use centers and material banks, to a design carrying a new sustainability aesthetic that gives a second life to concrete, plastic and other residual materials. The result is a unique laboratory of circular design and zero waste, where visitors can literally "touch" architecture.
