Support palliative care by purchasing a Hospice Cake
The Brno University of Technology will participate in the fourth
charity event Pie for Hospice, which will take place on Wednesday 9 October.
Those interested will be able to buy a sweet cake and support a good cause. This year's proceeds
will go to help patients at home or in the Rajhrad inpatient
hospice.
There will be stalls at the Brno Technics in several locations. At the Faculty of Architecture of the BUT, cookies will be available for purchase from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the faculty courtyard.
Cake for Hospice is a traditional fundraiser in support of palliative
care, which is organized annually by the Diocesan Charity of Brno. The aim of the event is to introduce
public about the role of hospice and to support charity care for the dying. Donated
donations are an important source for the Charity to purchase new equipment, medicines and
medical supplies.
