Workshop concludes the three-year construction of the columbarium
The construction of the columbarium in Mořice na Hané is now in its third year under the hands of students of the Faculty of Architecture and local residents. The series of participatory workshops will conclude with the installation of the candle holders on Thursday, 12 September 2024.
Participants will install oval metal candle vases (carriers of candles and flowers) into the clay wall of the columbarium. To fit them, they will first have to pull out the unique wooden conical hooves, smothered in clay, which the students made in the laboratory workshops at the FA BUT. The boxes will also be sealed and the patina on the copper will be checked. A discussion of the construction will also be included.
Thursday's meeting will conclude a three-year project that has been developed from initial design to actual implementation with the participation of students and academic staff from FA BUT.
Workshop leader: Ing. Zdeněk Vejpustek, Ph.D.
