2000 Architect, – Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM), Spain.
2012 PhD, – cum laude. Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM), Spain.
He has collaborated in Darmstadt, Frankfurt and Rotterdam.
Since 2003 Founded the architectural office dosmasuno arquitectos with Néstor Montenegro and Lina Toro, and have received 34 national and international prizes.
2004–07 Curator of Monoespacios for Architects Association of Madrid Foundation.
Since 2006 Editor in chief of Arquitectos review (Architects Association of Spain - CSCAE), editing 15 numbers up to now with 750.000 issues delivered to all architects in Spain.
Since 2006 Associate projects proffesor, ETSA Madrid, Spain with Alberto Campo Baeza (2006-2009) and with CoLaboratorio (since 2009), and has been Projects Lecturer, in UEM Madrid, 2005, and Republic University of Uruguay 2009+2010, and in Master of Collective Housing in ETSAM-UPM. Since 2012 has been Projects Lecturer, in UFV-Madrid.
Since 2009 Founded CoLaboratorio with A. Ribot, J.G-Germán and D. G-Setién. CoLaboratorio is a research space for design strategies and new fabricating methods implemented in the contemporary industry. One of the research projects has been the implementation of the Fab Lab UPM, a digital fabrication department for the Polytechnic University.

IGNACIO BORREGO in BrnoDecember 12, 2013, 5pm, auditorium A310, FA BUT – lecture
Faculty of Architecture of Brno University of Technology has prepared at the invitation of Assoc. Prof. Jiri Palacky, a lecture and a student workshop of Spanish architect IGNACIO BORREGO, ETSA Madrid.
The lecture will bring closer the atmosphere of contemporary Spanish architectural scene, indicating successful architectural works of dosmasuno arquitectos (office co-funded by I. Borrego, N. Montenegro and L. Toro) and at the same time it will introduce CoLaboratorio ETSA – architectural design studio.
The morning workshop, coupled with the presentation of student projects of an elective course – PSA, is arranged on the same day, starting at 8 am in the studio A413, for students on the topic of Space and light in architecture.
