ANTONIN HLADIK received the 2011 Prize of the Brno City
ANTONIN HLADIK, an architect and urbanist from Brno, a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the Brno University of Technology, was awarded the 2011 Prize of the Brno City on 24th January 2012.
Antonin Hladik
The architect Antonin Hladik ranks among top figures in urbanism and urban planning. He was born in Police nad Metují on 22nd October 1945. After graduation, he worked in the Department of the Chief Architect of the Brno City. In 1991 he started his own company Urbanism, Architecture, Design Studio, Ltd. He is a co-author of the Brno urban plan of resident unit from 1982 and a co-author of the Brno urban plan from 1994, that is still in use. At the beginning of the 1990s, he made a methodology of the urban planning that has been ruling the Brno development for more than 30 years. Antonin Hladik is a highly respected urbanist, who works among others also on projects for the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Regional Development.
